This IWC Big Pilot’s Watch equipped with a power reserve display, is a fine example of the maison's superb craftsmanship. The 46mm black dial with white Arabic numerals and dauphine styled central hands, provides a clear display to reference at a glance. The five minute indexes are slim and the triangular index is featured just inside the chapter ring – characteristics which hark back to the more traditional IWC watch designs. The classic timepiece is equipped with the in-house manufactured 51111 calibre which provides a 7-day power reserve that can be references at the 3 o’clock location on a neat and precise scale. The movement is not only encased inside a rugged 46mm stainless steel case, but also a soft-iron inner casing which protects against magnetic fields.
IWC watches are and have all been equipped with an anti reflective and scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass front for protection. The harmonious layout of the IWC Big Pilot’s watch mimics the look of the 1940’s pilot’s watches, with a date aperture featured at 6 o’clock. The timepiece secures to the wrist with a traditional black calfskin strap to keep in line with the sophisticated look of the instrument. An elegant timepiece for the dedicated IWC watch lover.
